Getting some new gear ready. First off I got a rig

Getting some new gear ready. First off I got a rig to hold my phone and VR camera so I can use my phone as a view finder. It can also hold lights. Next I have been playing with a boom arm I got last year. I have not had a chance to use it yet but it has many possibilities. For example I tried taking an overhead selfie with it. Finally I'm upgrading my wireless flash kit with one that uses AA batteries. These are way easier to find plus I have rechargeable ones. I'm really looking forward to this con season!

We took a chance and went to #Exxxotica! I was nervous and did not take many photos but got to spend time with some amazing friends I wouldn't have seen until ACEN. That alone made the trip worth it!

Back at Colossalcon last year we were lucky enough

Back at Colossalcon last year we were lucky enough to run into @jamboreecosplay in a chance encounter. This led to this amazing impromptu photoshoot where she braved the night air to try to catch the blue streaks in her Lum cosplay's hair. @Deuce231 took the photos while I held additional lights. To make this event even more of a lighting-in-a-bottle moment Deuce231 learned her could bounce his flash off his red shirt to create a soft red primary light!

Everything lined up to make this a memorable shoot! Thank you to jamboreecosplay and her friends for taking the time to make this happen!
